TAG Heuer presents a new timing concept that sets a
new standard for precision, simplicity and security.
The totally automatic ChronoSplit is worn by the
athlete, and is triggered by radio transmitters connected to
detection devices (start gate, photocells, tape switch, etc.)
that are placed at various locations on the track (start, finish as well as unlimited split locations).
No manual action is necessary
during the training run - by anyone! There are no
range limitations due to the length of run or terrain
changes, or false times due to interference by others
in or around the track! The athlete in fact becomes his
own timekeeper, freeing up the trainer to concentrate on
more important things!
The ChronoSplit measures and records up to 1000
times and 99 sessions with a guaranteed precision to
1/1000 of a second.
Start, intermediate and finish times are differentiated and
sequentially recorded in the ChronoSplit's memory. Each ChronoSplit
(therefore athlete) has its own ID code. The times can be
recalled manually and displayed on the Chronoslpit's LCD screen.
The entire memory of the Chronoslpit can be downloaded to
an Excel spreadsheet via USB connection to a wireless
interface, useful for later analysis.
Thanks to an exclusive radio architecture and robust digital
transmission protocols and algorithms, the ChronoSplit
demonstrates remarkable sensitivity and reliability in even
the most demanding conditions. The ChronoSplit will
receive the Transmitter's signals at distances in excess
of 15 meters for speeds up to 200 km/h!
